General Filming Regulations in UAE

UAE is one the safest country in the world. The Police has Zero Tolerence Policy and everyone is expected to follow regulations. All film permit rules are well explained and if anyone is caught trying to film without permits they risk their equipment getting confiscated, significant fine or even jail term.

All government locations permit will be given by the Media Council but for any privately or semi government location we require to obtain location owner’s letter of no objection prior to applying permit with the Media Council

All goverment departments are friendly and will go out of their way to help out.
